Frequently Asked Questions

What types of trees do you have available?

Howling Pines grows more than white pines! We also currently offer cut-your-own Canaan Fir, Norway spruce, and blue spruce trees. We also offer Norway spruce and Concolor Fir trees that are balled and burlapped, so they can be planted.

How do you price your trees?

Trees are priced by height, fullness, and age. The longer we have had to care for a tree, the more expensive the tree is. Prices range from $10 - $25 per foot.

Do we need to bring our own saw or other equipment?

We have saws on hand, but you may find it helpful to bring your own handsaw! Gas-powered and electric saws are not permitted.

Can you help me cut my tree down?

We’d love to help. We can provide someone to cut your tree and bring it in and secure to your vehicle. We recommend you call ahead so we can make someone available, especially on the weekend.

Will you tie my tree down to my vehicle for me?

We will help to tie and secure your tree to your vehicle. It’s important to note Howling Pines is not liable for any damage once you leave the tree lot.

How should I care for my tree once I get it home?

Christmas trees are happiest with a drink. Use room temperature water in the stand, and replenish the water level daily. Do not put your tree near a household heat source, such as a heat vent, fireplace, or stove. Also, do not leave your string lights on overnight or when you’re away from home.

Do you allow photography on the property?

Families are welcome to take as many pictures as they would like. We want you to make memories! As we are working tree farm, professional photo shoots require prior arrangement and a fee of $75. Please call ahead to arrange this.

We also work with talented photographer Heather White frequently, and will waive the fee when you arrange a shoot directly with Heather. She can be reached at 440-478-8396.

Do you allow dogs on the property?

We love dogs, too! But not everyone does. Howling Pines provides a safe and welcoming experience for all of its customers, therefore dogs are not allowed on the property.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, credit card or Venmo payments.
